A big thank you to the street sweeper that cleaned up the corner of Fifth and Harrison. We really do appreciate you. Thank you.
In accordance with Barack Obama’s suggestion, I have gotten my tires all inflated and am in the process of checking on the possibility of an engine tune-up. I’m eternally grateful to Nancy Pelosi for not allowing Republicans and up or down vote on energy and her effort to save the planet. Who cares if it causes the young and working class people of a problem in travel.
I was reading the article in Wednesday’s paper about the Bothwell Regional Health request board revisions. That said that Chairman David Lake requested the council add two more people to the seven-member board. I’m not opposed to that, but he also wanted to list the residency requirements to require at least three-fifths of the members live in Sedalia. Apparently the board members failed to recognize that the hospital is owned by the city. I think all the board members should be city residents. In fact, I think the board members should actually be the city councilmen. The city should run its own businesses, not farm it out to people who live outside the city limits or even different counties, as long as they live in the same state.
Thanks to the person who found my purse at Wal-Mart last week. They turned it in as it was with the money and the cards, everything inside. And we are so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in Sedalia. Thank you very much.
Calling to say that I’m thoroughly sick of the political telephone calls that interrupt my day. I would gladly vote for any candidate of any party that would get up a bill to outlaw these calls.
I also have relatives that smoke and I don’t know if the person that wrote into Sedline has been living under a rock or what. She probably doesn’t care about her health, but places all around the country are going smoke-free for a reason, because cigarettes kill. The number one preventable killer is cigarettes, along with overeating and lack of exercise. People are stupid that smoke, I think and I just don’t want to be around the cigarettes. You can do drugs or whatever else, but if it affects anyone else, then you are in the wrong.
