1940s dance helps veterans with trip

A 1940s theme dance to benefit the Show-Me Honor Flight will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 15 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591, 121 S. Ohio Ave.
Advance tickets cost $8 or $14 per couple and are available by calling Tony Gallagher at (660) 287-3812.
Tickets at the door cost $10 per person. Only 126 tickets will be sold.
An open house for all World War II veterans will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the VFW.
Proceeds will help fly Missouri veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the war memorials.
