Vinson to celebrate 90th birthday

Mabel Marie Fisher Vinson, of Sedalia, will celebrate her 90th birthday with a dinner with family and friends, held by her children, at noon Feb. 8 at American Legion Post 642.

She was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Smithton.

She was a housewife. She enjoys working crossword puzzles, reading, taking long rides in the country and spending time with her family.

She has 10 children, Kathy Farris, Shirley Wilson, Elwood Fisher, Jimmy Fisher, Janice Wiser, Melva Bosworth and Stephen Vinson, all of Sedalia, Karen Shurman, of Centertown, and the late Neoma Marie Fisher and Dale Wayne Vinson; three stepchildren, Barbara Petree, of Sedalia, Herman Vinson, of California, and the late Larry Vinson; 25 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
