Warsaw to light up downtown
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Warsaw will celebrate “An All American Christmas” on Nov. 29.
The lighting of downtown will begin at 5:15 p.m. The Christmas parade will follow at 5:30 p.m. Parade marshals will be veterans representing the branches of military service.
After the parade, Warsaw Mayor Ken Brown will speak at the Mayor’s Christmas tree in Drake Harbor. Musical entertainment will be provided.
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree, the Festival of Lights by the lakeside of Drake Harbor and the Wreath at the swinging bridge will be lit simultaneously.
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree is lit with clear bulbs; however, for every $5 raised, a color bulb will be added. All donations will be used to take Benton County children Christmas shopping. Donations may be sent to the City of Warsaw, Attn: Christmas for Kids Program, P.O. Box 68, Warsaw, MO 65355.
Free cookies and hot chocolate will be served in Drake Harbor Nov. 29 and Santa will visit with children.
The Festival of Lights display will be lit nightly from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 30 through Jan. 2.
