Bessie V. Hutchinson, Windsor
Bessie V. Hutchinson, 91, of Windsor, died Friday evening, Sept. 7, 2007, at Windsor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 13, 1915, near Palo Pinto, in Benton County, a daughter of John Arthur and Annie Evelyn Workman Vannatta. On Dec. 12, 1933, in Windsor, she was married to Lee Beyer Hutchinson, who died Sept. 2, 2006.
She was a licensed practical nurse, working for Dr. Claude Thurber for 17 years. Then she was director of nursing at Windsor’s Resthaven Nursing Home for 19 years. She retired at age 72. She gave special care to each of her patients. She was a member of the Golden Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Clinton.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Lee Funk, and her husband, Herb, of Windsor, and Marilyn Sisson, and her husband, Don, of Long Lane; three grandchildren, David Funk, Donna Clingan and Mark Sisson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Joshua Lee Funk; a sister, Lola Harms; and three brothers, Paul Vannatta, Tom Vannatta and Dud Vannatta.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. September 28 at Golden Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Jasper officiating. Private burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
