Wisdom sparks State Fair
Maci Wisdom made three straight 3-pointers in the first half, and State Fair Community College never looked back.
Wisdom made five 3-pointers overall and finished with a team-high 16 points in the Lady Roadrunners’ 65-47 victory over North Arkansas.
The game was part of the Three Rivers Community College Classic women’s basketball tournament.
State Fair coach Darren Pannier said that Wisdom’s 3-pointers pushed the team’s lead to double figures.
The Lady Roadrunners (12-1) led 39-19 at halftime.
Dahlia Booker and Brittany Young scored 10 points each for State Fair.
First-team All-American JoBeth Williams, of North Arkansas, scored 14 points, well below her season average of 23.5.
North Arkansas, the No. 6 team in NJCAA Division II, fell to 9-4 and lost to State Fair for the second time this season.
