Lola E. Jenkins, Las Animas, Colo.

Lola Edna Jenkins, 86, of Las Animas, Colo., formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Colorado.

She was born April 9, 1922, in Fortuna, a daughter of Lank and Ola Hays Woods. On Aug. 22, 1942, in Sedalia, she was married to Lewis Paul Jenkins, who died May 18, 2003.

She moved to Sedalia as a young girl. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. In 1952, she moved to Las Animas. She later was a member of First Nazarene Church in La Junta, Colo.

Surviving are a son, Paul J. Jenkins, and his wife, Kay, of Las Animas; four brothers, Jackie Woods, Dennis Woods and Loyal Woods, all of Indian River, Mich., and Dental Woods, of Dearborn, Mich.; a sister, Irene Milano, of Clearlake Oaks, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Paula Kay Fahrenholtz, of Overland Park, Kan.

She was also predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Bill; and two sisters, Maxine and Juanita.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. There will be no visitation.
