Summer exhibition to open at UCM
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The annual Mid-Missouri Artists Summer Exhibition in the Art Gallery of the University of Central Missouri opens for viewing Tuesday. The exhibit may be viewed free of charge in the gallery located on Clark Street, across from the Kirkpatrick Library.
Summer gallery hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Summer Exhibition presents works by members of Mid-Missouri Artists, as well as a special exhibit of works by Richard Luehrman, UCM professor of art emeriti.
Several MMA members are from Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Leeton, Chilhowee and Sedalia, but membership includes persons from 12 counties. A variety of media are represented in the show, including both two- and three-dimensional works. Several works are also available for purchase.
The public is invited to meet the artists and participate in the public reception from 2 to 4 p.m. July 13 Music will be provided by the New Century Dulcimer Ensemble.
