Nov. 6 Sedline
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The intersection at highways 65 and 50 looks like it will do the job of handling traffic for years to come. ... The only problem that I see is that it’s too dark. There are four lights on the corners, but for about 300 to 500 feet in each direction there aren’t any street lights. I understand many people can’t see the lines on the pavement after dark. Why after designing such a fancy intersection there aren’t any lights installed? Somebody goofed.
I was just reading the Sedline and it wanted to know who pocketed the money when we had $4 gas instead of $2 gas. It was basically our enemies, the people who sell us the barrels oil which have decreased by half. When gas is high we’re giving our enemies and those who don’t like us the extra money. We might keep that in mind and try to be more conservative and figure out different ways we can have renewable fuel.
I cannot believe how stupid the people in this country are by the elections results, that they would vote for somebody like Obama instead of a Christian man like John McCain. Unbelievable.
Even though many incumbents were returned to their offices, I’m glad the votes were close. This should tell them they have only one last chance to do the job they are employed to do. The voters will be watching. Hawkeye.
I think the person who did the most to put Obama in office was the president of the United States, George Bush, through his policies and what has happened to our country.
I think that all the child molesters out there should be required to keep their signs in the windows, “I am a child molester,” so everyone knows out there so they can keep their kids safe.
The election is over with for now. All the phone calls and political commercials have stopped. And we all approve this message.
While walking in our neighborhood after the rain Thursday morning, we saw a great many leaves that had been washed into the storm drains. Homeowners, please take responsibility for your leaves. Don’t blow or rake them into the street. And Sedalia Street Department, are you not getting those leaves?
I would hope all of our local elected officials and future county candidates closely watch Brad Anders’ smear campaign. Negative politicking will not work at the local level. Congrats, Mr. Bond.
I think there should be maybe a law that the political signs should come down at least one week, if not the day, after the election is over. We’ve looked at the long enough, and it’s time to take them down.
