A Sedalia man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:56 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John Raines, 60, of Nelson, was northbound on U.S. Highway 65 north of Route HH when he slowed to make a right turn and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Robert S. Nevels, 53.

Nevels was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
