Whiteman airman injured by gunshot

A Team Whiteman airman was airlifted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City after a self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday.
According to reports, first responders arrived at Whiteman Air Force Base at 11:45 a.m. and immediately began treatment of the victim, whose name is not being released. The injury is currently under investigation by the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigation.
