Two women were injured in a vehicle accident at 4:55 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

Amanda D. Bailey, 30, of Centerview, was driving south on state Route 58 when she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Kathleen F. Myers, 57, of Raytown, who was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Myers was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence and Bailey was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for their injuries. Reports indicate both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
