Sheila and George Guier, of Sedalia, brought the Sedalia Democrat with them onboard the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor on Nov. 11. This ship brought Sheila’s father, Gene Carrender, of Sweet Springs, back to the United States after his service in the Korean War.
