A Marshall child was injured in a vehicle accident at 1:50 p.m. Sunday in Saline County.
Stephen B. Rimmer, 72, of Marshall, was driving east on state Route P when he failed to stop at a stop sign, hit a ditch and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Rimmer refused treatment at the scene while his passenger, Hayden G. Stephens, 8, was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital with minor injuries. Reports indicate neither were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, however, because Rimmer was driving a 1932 Ford truck, they were exempt.
Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
