John M. Dawes, president and chief executive officer of Bothwell Regional Health Center, has been appointed to the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. His three-year term began Jan. 1.
His responsibilities include overseeing the administration of MHA and developing association policies.
Before joining Bothwell, Dawes served as president and chief executive officer of Mercy Hospital Clermont in Batavia, Ohio, and as vice president of operations at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. He received a bachelor’s degree in health administration from Wichita State University in Kansas and a master’s degree in health administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the ACHE’s Missouri Regents Advisory Council since 2002.
Dawes is a past president of the MHA Central District Council and previously served as a member of MHA’s Healthcare Quality Advisory Committee.
