Dennis Kerns, of Sedalia, is retiring from Pittsburgh Corning after 34.5 years. He started as a mold striper in 1977. He worked his way up to a technical operator watching the molding glass. As part of the maintenance crew, he helped rebuild several machines.

A retirement party will be held for him from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center. The public is invited to attend.
