The Democrat Salutes La Monte Elementary School
Eleven students from La Monte Elementary raised donations for Hoops for Heart this year. The donations go to the American Heart Association for research on individuals who have heart disease, or have suffered from strokes, or heart attacks. These students raised $325.26 this year. This was well above our total of $141.18 from last year, so I am very proud of them all. For a month, 2nd-6th grade participated in basketball activities for P.E., and also learned more about their hearts in Health. Pictured: Top row from left: Caymen Winnie, Natalie Cumpton Second row from left: Keely Elwell, Cole Cave, Ariana Olmedo Third row: Lillian Bastion Fourth row: Hanna Wood, Logan Mahin Bottom row: Jesus Martinez Not pictured: Jenna Funk, Sarah Weber
