Four Stover residents were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:37 p.m. Saturday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Andrew A. Moesch, 21, was northbound on Route U near Cheese Creek Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, began to skid, crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the road, struck a road sign, impacted the ground and an embankment, crossed over Lumpy Avenue and came to rest in a ditch.

Moesch was taken by air ambulance to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, along with passenger Veronica N. Poort, 20. Passengers Glenda M. Holmes, 39, and Cody T. Hill, 19, were taken by air ambulance to Research Hospital.

All except Holmes were wearing seat belts, the report said.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
