Missouri Valley Community Action Agency received a $3,320 donation from Maxion Wheels to support the AgencyÕs Head Start initiative for early childhood literacy. The funds will be used to purchase more than 1,500 books, allowing each child to select three books to take home. More than 500 children enrolled in MVCAA Head Start, infants through age 5, in a seven-county area will be affected. According to Maxion Wheels Plant Manager, Edie Reaves, ÒWe are excited to be able to provide local children with opportunities for early reading. Reading opens new doors; books open new worlds. This program is a wonderful way for Maxion to be involved in the communities we work and live in.Ó
