2 Sedalians charged with receiving stolen property

Two Sedalia residents have been charged with receiving stolen property after an investigation found they stole from the Union Pacific Railroad Signal Shop.

According to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, William Todd, 49, and Christopher Smither, 30, allegedly stole a large amount of copper wire from the shop. Both are currently being held at the Pettis County Jail on $5,000 bonds.
