A Warsaw woman and child had minor injuries resulting from a vehicle-on-deer collision on Saturday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael R. Detel, 36, of Warsaw, was northbound on U.S. Highway 65 two-tenths of a mile south of Smasal Road at 12:30 p.m. when a deer ran into the passenger side of his vehicle.

Passengers Tamara L. Detel, 30, and Kylie Detel, 3, were transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

All three occupants were wearing seat belts, the report said.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
