A Prairie Home woman was hurt in a crash on Saturday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Samantha J. Evers, 27, of Holts Summit, was northbound on state Highway 87 one-tenth of a mile north of state Highway 179 at 1:45 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of the road, struck a sign and overturned.

An occupant, Elizabeth P. Drennan, 22, had moderate injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia. Drennan was not wearing a seat belt, but Evers was, the report said.

Evers was charged with careless and imprudent driving involving an accident and driving while intoxicated.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
