Two Pettis County men were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County Wednesday morning, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
Charles W. Summers, 77, of Smithton, was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was in good condition Wednesday night, a hospital spokeswoman said. Timothy Summers, 50, of Sedalia, was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. A hospital spokeswoman had not information on Timothy Summers.
Timothy Summers was driving north on an ice-covered Missouri 41 just north of the Salt Fork Creek Bridge at about 8:10 a.m. when the accident happened. The vehicle swerved off the road and eventually down an embankment and overturned. It ended up on its side.
