Moore retiring from highway patrol

Capt. Gary L. Moore, a native of Marshall, will retire Dec. 1 from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after 29 years of service.
Moore began his career with the patrol in 1981. After graduating from the patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 4, serving residents of Grundy and Mercer counties. He also worked in zones 2 and 3 before transferring to the Governor’s Security Division in 1997. He transferred to Field Operations Bureau in 2006, and was designated homeland security coordinator.
