The Democrat welcomed a new business reporter last week.
Elizabeth Schleicher will focus on business and local economy stories, as well as design and copy edit pages. She graduated in 2010 from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in magazine journalism and a minor in Spanish. Originally from west-central Illinois, Schleicher spent the last two years working in Billings, Mont., with AmeriCorps and United Way on an income tax assistance program.
