Amanda Bain and Jonathon Prewitt, both of Sedalia, were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 18, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sedalia.



The bride is the daughter of George and Theresa Bain Jr., of Sedalia. The groom is the son of the late Glenna Prewitt. He is the grandson of Marjorie VanBooven, of Sedalia.



The Rev. Vincent Hoying conducted the ceremony. Joyce Woolery was the organist. Maggie Borchers, Beth Thompson, aunt of the bride, and Chris Lamb, cousin of the bride, were vocalists.



The bride was given in marriage by her father.



Carolyn Hensley and Tara David were matrons of honor. Amanda Korte, Lynette Walters and Lisa Bain, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids. Shelby Bain, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride. Jordan Hensley was the flower girl. Andrea Dove and Stephanie Hanlon, cousins of the bride, were candlelighters. Chris Hanlon, aunt of the bride, was the brideís attendant.



Jack Hensley was the best man. Keith Hayden, Ryan Brust, Jason Martin and George Bain III, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Tyler Austin, son of the groom, was the miniature groom. George Bain IV, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Patrick Hanlon, cousin of the bride, and Nick Wagenknecht, cousin of the groom, were ushers. Emily Perkins and Kaleb Dove, cousins of the bride, were mass servers.



A rehearsal dinner was held Aug. 17 by Robin Wagenknecht, aunt of the groom, in the parish center of Sacred Heart Church. The reception was at the Elkís Lodge.



The bride, a 1999 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, received an associate of arts degree from State Fair Community College in 2004. She is a director of Honey Bear Daycare in Sedalia.



The groom attended Smith-Cotton High School. He is a sales representative for Marcumís Landscaping Stones in Sedalia.



The couple live in Sedalia.
