Coming to summer’s end there are always several jobs that need completing before fall displays her gorgeous head. Number one, there are always the closets to clean. I sometimes believe that if there is only one closet in the house, life would be a lot simpler. There would be only so many clothes one could buy before the closet would be full. But alas, the more closets, the more clothes and the more to move out and stack in a big bag and shuffle off to the thrift shop.
And then the paperwork follows. There are always stacks of it to be gone through before it goes to the shredder. It seems to me that I save everything. I try to make it a policy every year to throw away two years of old bills. But I keep thinking that the Internal Revenue Service may decide to audit me, and I would be caught short-handed if I throw too much away. Actually though, in reality I can’t imagine that the IRS would ever have so little to do that they would mess with such small potatoes as me and my nickels and dimes.
