An exhibit of antique prints from paintings by Missouri artist George Caleb Bingham will be on display through April 10 at the Zuzak Wonder Store, 311 Main St., in Boonville. The prints are on loan from a private collection in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Bingham’s birth on March 20, 1811.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Maryellen McVicker, who teaches Art History and American History at Moberly Area Community College’s Columbia campus, will discuss Bingham’s life and the prints at 2 p.m. March 20 in the gallery.

“Bingham came to Missouri with his parents when he was an 8-year-old boy,” McVicker wrote. “He grew up here. This is the part of the country that gave him his outlook on life and the place to which he always returned in time of crisis or sorrow. His genre paintings and portraits often are of identifiable Boonslick citizens, some members of his own family or his spouse.”
