Oh so close: Smith-Cotton’s New Score comes up 2 points shy of the big prize at SFCC show choir competition

Posted: Saturday, January 5, 2013 11:03 pm

Smith-Cotton’s New Score show choir won a major award and was a hair’s breadth away from the grand prize on Saturday at the annual State Fair Community College Invitational Show Choir Festival in the Davis Multipurpose Center.

New Score won best choreography for the first time at any competition during director Chris Kindle’s one-and-a-half years and came up just two points short of rival J-City Riot, of Jefferson City, in the large mixed choir division.
