UCM to present dance concert Louder Than Words’
The University of Central Missouri’s Department of Theatre & Dance will present its spring dance concert at 7:30 p.m. March 8 and 9 in the Highlander Theatre on the Warrensburg campus. “Louder Than Words” is an evening of contemporary dance styles choreographed by UCM faculty and student choreographers.
Admission is $12 for the public; $10 for faculty, staff and senior citizens; and $7 for students. Tickets will be available at the University of Central Missouri Theatre box office in Wood 128 beginning Monday. The box office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Tickets may also be reserved by calling the box office at 660-543-8811, and they will be available at the door. Children under age 5 will not be admitted.
Each piece in “Louder Than Words” reflects upon works of American literature, speech and historical events. The concert will feature an ensemble of 21 dancers, including Meg Aleshire, Annie Beile, Devin Burns, Kalob Cunningham, Lindsey Freihott, Jasmine Harlan, Ashley Koehn, Natalie Krahenbuhl, Kelly Krasuski, Nellie Maple, Briant Mitchell, Jacinta Mitchell, Alexis Morris, Jill Mott, Brooke Myers, Daniel Parman, Natasha Parsons, Katie Poggemeier, Kelsey Reinsfelder and Nora Wombwell.
The concert will showcase the work of seven choreographers, including artistic director Ashley Miller; Meridith Harmon Sauer guest artist Melissa Larson; and students Annie Beile, Devin Burns, Kalob Cunningham, Natasha Parsons and Natalie Krahenbuhl.
