The State Fair Community College Music Arts department will present its spring concerts at 7:30 p.m. March 5 and 6 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.
The program will feature the Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir and Jazz Runners performing music from the classical through the Big Band eras.
Choral selections will include the jazz standards “L-O-V-E,” “Summer Samba” and “Happy Together,” along with music from Russia, Scandanavia, the Broadway stage and the American heartland.
Instrumental selections will include “Make Me Smile,” “Shiny Stockings” and the Latin “Conga.”
The choirs are directed by Ron Sayer and the Jazz Runners are directed by Kevin Holbert. The choirs will be accompanied by Gwendolyn Kappelman and Cynthia Groff.
