The Katy Depot, 600 E. Third St., will host a special event on the Civil War at 7 p.m. Feb. 25. The theme will be “Opposing Perspectives on the Civil War” and it will feature three guest presenters.

Chris Sutton, of St. Louis, will speak as a Union officer, while Sedalian Jeremy Freeman will portray John Edwards, a Confederate officer and newspaperman. His “Meet the Past” script was created by historian and author Diane Peck, of Cole Camp. Rebecca Carver will present her research of nearly 30 years on the Battle of Sedalia.

Refreshments will be served.

Tickets are now on sale for $10 at the Katy Depot. Because seating is limited, advance purchase is recommended. To order with a credit card, call the Depot Store at 826-2932.

The Katy Depot’s traveling “Missouri and the Civil War” exhibit will be on display through Feb. 17. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
