S-C show choirs awarded at Pleasant Hill

The Smith-Cotton High School show choirs New Score, Cabaret and Broadway Velocity won five awards on Saturday at the Battle of the Best competition in Pleasant Hill. Thirty choirs competed in the event.

Smith-Cotton won:
 
• Best Stage Crew
• Best Costume — New Score
• Second place in 5A division (out of nine choirs) — New Score
• Third place in finals — New Score
• Best Male Performer — Stephen Weeks, freshman
