SFCC to present student-directed 1-act plays
A play written by State Fair Community College freshman Garrett Frazier will make its debut when the SFCC Theatre Arts program presents two student-directed one-act plays at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 and 3 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in the Yeater Learning Center on the Sedalia campus.
The plays are open to the public and are for mature audiences. Admission is free.
Plays will include “Megan,” written by Frazier and directed by sophomore Meg Aleshire, and “The Actor’s Nightmare,” written by Christopher Durang and directed by sophomore Kiya Parker.
The cast of “Megan” includes Stephanie Dill as Barbra; Jessica Borchardt as Megan; Briana Giardina as the nurse; Amanda Ahrens as LeighAnn; Dalton Pierce as Dr. Spector; and Trenton Wilbanks as Staff.
“The Actor’s Nightmare” cast includes Daniel Parman as George Spelvin; Kacy Barta as Meg, the stage manager; Sophia Crawshaw as Sarah Siddons; Heather Hill as Dame Ellen Terry; and Frazier as Henry Irving.
