Scout Stories: Caleb Henderson
By Caleb Henderson

My most memorable camping was my second trip to summer camp. The trip started out fairly normal. We arrived, set up our tents and went to sleep. The next day we went down to the waterfront. As usual, the sky was black on one side and blue on the other. Then, out of nowhere, tornado sirens started blaring.
I was wearing my thin sandals, not expecting the commotion, and quickly fell behind. Our Scoutmaster, Dennis Scholl, found that I was behind and with another Scout decided to take us up, ignoring the trail to get to safety.
