Pay wall returns Wednesday
To our valued subscribers,
We are so thankful the people of Sedalia and Pettis County have helped us bring the best in local news and content to West Central Missouri for more than 140 years. Next week we will take steps to continue this service.
You may remember a changeover to our pay wall and new website that occurred in August. Many of you called our office and asked us to walk you through setting up your access. Unfortunately the data that was created at that time that married your new user name with your subscriber number was inadvertently replaced with a blank file.
At that time, we made the decision to make the website free so that steps could be made to make sure this glitch in the new system never happens again. We did not want our readers to be inconvenienced by having to call and step through the process so soon after doing it the first time.
With that said, we will be re-instituting the pay wall beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16. A tutorial will be posted with step-by-step instructions on the main homepage, complete with photos so that the majority can get up and running on their own. For those who need a little extra help, we will be ready to provide assistance.
If you believe in the importance of local news by subscribing to either our E-edition or Print product, you will have FREE access to all of the articles and posted content. Print subscribers can add the E-edition of the paper for only $1 per month, which is great for viewing the real print version while away from home.
You will need to know your subscriber number so that your new username can be linked to it. This number can be found on your bill, or can be obtained by calling our office.
Please do not hesitate to call us at 660-826-1000 if you have questions.
