Pettis County Public Administrator seeking giving hearts

Pettis County Public Administrator Charli Ackerman poses on Monday in front of the display for her Helping Hearts campaign, which raises money for the roughly 150 individuals aided by Ackerman’s office. Funds from the campaign help pay incidental costs not covered by Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid, such as emergency dental care. Funds are also used to help pay for the cost of relocating clients from one facility to another. Now in its 10th year, this year’s campaign is getting an additional boost through Third National Bank. For every “like” the bank receives through Valentine’s Day on its Facebook page, facebook.com/ThirdNationalBank, the bank will donate $1 to the campaign, up to $250. “I am always pleased by the way the community steps up to support this,” Ackerman said.
