Emily Jarrett/Democrat Missouri Care volunteer Alisha Burger, right, and her mother Joyce Heather work together to fill plastic cups with toothbrushes, toothpaste, anti-bacterial wipes and other hygiene items during Project Homeless Connect Friday. The duo were two of nearly 100 volunteers working at the event which acts as a one-stop shop of agencies for those who are homeless or nearly homeless.
