Commander Brian Hoskins of the United States Navy recently announced his retirement after more than 30 years of naval service.
Commander Hoskins, the son of Robert and Virginia Hoskins, of Sedalia, joined the Navy as an enlisted hospital corpsman in 1975 and was commissioned into the Medical Service Corps in 1989.
He is a 1975 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Chapman University, the University of Pittsburgh and Florida Atlantic University.
His final military assignment was with the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs in Washington, D.C. He is currently a consulting health information systems engineer and a medical practice management executive in the Washington, D.C., area.
