Marine Corps Pfc. Richard A. Shannon, a son of Louise and Richard A. Shannon, of Marshall, recently completed the basic electrician’s course.

He learned about the repair and maintenance of generators, transformers and power lines. He is a 2010 graduate of Marshall High School and joined the Marine Corps in September 2011.
