Job creation is key issue in presidential election

Posted: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 11:17 pm | Updated: 8:30 am, Fri Nov 2, 2012.

Jobs and opportunity are the cornerstones of a democracy. Without jobs and opportunity, people lose hope and desire to be civil and productive members of society. To create jobs, the government must maintain the freedom and incentive to invest in the economy.

Investors will only provide investments in areas that are secure, create a return and are predictable. It comes full circle in the economy. Jobs provide hope and desire to ensure civil stability to assure investors their investments are secure and profitable. Investments and jobs provide the tax base to support infrastructure and a strong military. A strong military is essential in defending democracies based on freedom and human rights throughout the world. Without jobs, the democracy is fragile at best.
