I would like to add to Jason Stanfordís commentary in the Oct. 9 Opinion page, headlined ďMitt Romneyís words no longer hold any meaning.Ē Romney has said that whatever he has said in the past he stands behind.

He has changed his mind about everything he has said in the past. How about the 47 percent, which now he has said was wrong? How about he does not care about the poor? Now he wants to be for them 100 percent.

How about his tax returns? He said that he has never paid less than 13 percent in taxes and that anyone that pays more than he has to is not qualified to be president. But this year, he was going to have to pay 10 percent on his returns, so he didnít report all of his deductions to charity so he could stay over the 13 percent. We donít know what else is in his returns that he wonít release. I could go on and on about what he has changed his mind on, but you get the point.

On another point, I canít believe what the leaders of the Republican Party are doing. They are trying to keep people from voting who they think are not going to vote for them.

Some Republican CEOs are telling their workers that if they donít vote for Romney they will be fired. Whatever happened to the right to vote?

And to think that I was raised in a Republican family down in Cole Camp and Ross Creek.
