The Blue Ribbon Fireworks show is over and this year’s celebration of our country’s independence is now another memory. Providing free entertainment for the Sedalia area has been a goal of the Blue Ribbon committee each year. We are proud to have been able to provide this show and want to thank the members of the band Rumblestrip, the Sedalia School District Robotics Team, VFW Post 2591, and Amollie Stoermer for entertaining us and helping us to show our respect for our country.
We also want to thank the Missouri State Fair, and both the Sedalia and Pettis County fire departments for helping us to provide a safe event for the community. With the dry weather conditions, we took extra precautions and had the assistance of volunteers to watch for potential fire issues. We also thank the Sedalia Police Department for providing traffic control after the event and the Sedalia Student Leadership Council for helping us at admission.
