We kicked off the 2010 Sedalia-Pettis County United Way Campaign this year with a “Kick off — Cook off” event. This was our opportunity to get our campaign materials into the hands of the representatives of our area businesses and industries for their employee campaigns.
The “Kick off — Cook off” would not have been possible without the help of some generous and talented men. I would like to refer to them as our “hometown heroes.” These gentlemen provided and prepared the wonderful dishes that were served for this event. While they participated in a “friendly” competition for the favorite dishes, the true spirit was in caring for their community.
