Let parents decide what's best for children

Proposed Missouri House Bill HB1748 would lower the beginning age of compulsory school attendance age from 7 to 6. It would also require the length of the school day for the kindergarten program to be the same as for other elementary grades in the school district.

Parents, as well as education experts, know that some children may do better in school if they start school at 7 rather than 6.
