Army Cadet Daniel R. Meade has received the George C. Marshall Award during an awards ceremony at the Marshall Center, Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va. The award is named in the honor and legacy of General of the Army George C. Marshall, who served in World War II as the Army chief of staff and in the post-war era served as secretary of state and secretary of defense.
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jason D. Walker and Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class James E. McMillian, who served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, were part of Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD) committee.
Army Pvt. Cody J. Hunt has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

Tracy Bruner, of Chesapeake, Va., recently retired from the Navy with the rank of chief petty officer.
Joseph Dorobek graduated from Naval Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. He is the grandson of Mary Comer and great- grandson of Demp and Mildred Ashbrook, of Sedalia. He is currently training as a sonar technician in Groton, Conn.
Air Force Airman Jeremy M. Thompson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Army Spec. Liv Marvin has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
Air National Guard Airman Brendan J. Eufinger graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
