Calhoun man dies in collision

A Calhoun man died Friday morning when he suffered a medical episode and crashed his vehicle into a fence in Henry County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Rowdy M. Offield, 63, was westbound on state Route 52, west of County Road NE 501, just before 6:30 a.m. Friday. Offield suffered from an unknown medical condition that caused his vehicle to travel off the left side of the road and strike a barbed wire fence.

Offield was pronounced dead at 6:55 a.m. at the scene of the accident by Dr. William Daily.
