Woman injured in Johnson
A Blue Springs resident was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:38 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ronnie L. Elliott, 66, of Independence, was driving south, crossing the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 50, when a northbound vehicle driven by Nicole L. Roberts, 23, made a left turn onto U.S. Highway 50 from state Route Z and struck Elliott’s vehicle.
Roberts was taken to St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit with minor injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Diego E. Rivasmoncia, 1, was not injured but was also taken to St. Luke’s.
Four injured in Morgan crash
Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brian R. Kinnaman, 58, of Versailles, was turning north onto state Route TT. As his vehicle crossed the southbound lane, it was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Dustin A. Baker, 16, of Stover.
Kinnaman was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor injuries. Two passengers in his vehicle, Marta Martinez, 47, and William V. Martinez, 18, both of Versailles, were both taken by ambulance to Capital Region with moderate injuries.
Baker was taken by ambulance to Capital Region with serious injuries.
Reports indicate all four subjects were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
