Man hurt in motorcycle wreck
A Blue Springs man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joseph J. Phelps, 33, was driving a motorcycle west on U.S. Highway 50, east of County Road NW 1201, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. Phelps was ejected.
Phelps, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for his injuries.
Man seriously injured in Johnson
A Warrensburg man sustained serious injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 6 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Glennon M. Denoyer, 58, of Holden, was driving a semi-truck north on state Route 131 at U.S. Highway 50 when he failed to yield to a westbound vehicle driven by Heath J. Marinello, 44, striking the passenger side of Marinello’s vehicle.
Denoyer’s vehicle then traveled across Highway 50 and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Donna M. Larman, 57, of Holden.
Marinello was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for his injuries. Both Denoyer and Larman sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
Reports indicate Denoyer, Marinello and Larman were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
