A Versailles man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Marshal Vera, 33, was driving north on state Route TT, four-tenths of a mile south of Dorsey Lane, when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his vehicle to travel off the left side of the road.
The vehicle then struck a fence and overturned, ejecting Vera before coming to rest on its wheels.
Vera, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Staff for Life to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.
Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
